We get asked a lot of questions regarding the testing , removal and disposal of asbestos. Here are some of the most common questions answered to help assist you:
- Does my property contain asbestos?
-  If your property (domestic or commercial) was built before the year 2000 it is likely there may be some asbestos present. 
 Asbestos was used as a common building product with White Asbestos being banned in 1999.
- Does asbestos have to be removed?
-  Asbestos is safest left where it is unless it is damaged , showing signs of wear or likely to be disturbed. 
 For example , if you have asbestos floor tiles which are in good condition , these can be overlaid with new flooring.
- Can you collect loose asbestos from my property?
-  We can! 
 Whether you have a small piece or a large quantity , we can collect and dispose of the asbestos safely. You will always be provided with a certificate of disposal and a receipt.
- How much asbestos removal in Matlock?
-  This depends on the type of asbestos you have. 
 We do have set prices for loose sheet collection , single and double garages as well as Floor Tiles.

- Can asbestos fibres be seen?
-  Asbestos fibres are so small they can only be seen under a microscope. 
 They cannot be seen by the naked eye
- How can I tell if a material is asbestos?
-  Although we can give you a judgement on whether we think a material COULD be asbestos , no one can be 100% sure without a test at an accredited lab being carried out. 
 The material is analysed by a professional and certified results provided.
- Is white asbestos less dangerous?
-  Although White Asbestos (Chrysotile) is not as fibrous as Blue and Brown Asbestos , it is still a carcinogenic , therefore it should only be handled by professionals who have received the correct training.
